National Unity Party (UBP) Central Executive Board Member (MYK) Ahmet Savaşan, answered the questions of journalist Levent Kutay in the “Burası Önemli” program broadcast on BRT and gave information about the UBP FMC, which is expected to convene at 16.00 today.
“THE SECRETARY GENERAL MUST BE ELECTED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE SO THAT WE CAN PREPARE FOR THE ELECTIONS QUICKLY”

Stating that the UBP should hold the election of the Secretary General in the fastest way possible, anticipating the pandemic conditions, Savaşan said, “The Secretary General should be elected in the fastest way so that the UBP can prepare for the early elections in the fastest way possible.”.

Savaşan stated that the UBP will hold its Ordinary General Assembly this year, that the elections in the organizations and districts should be planned in order to prepare the party for the general assembly, and that the election of the Secretary General is essential for this, and continued his words as follows:
“In this context, the FMC meeting we will hold at the party today concerns not only the UBP, but also the agenda of the country in terms of scheduling the elections.”

Stating that after the election of the General Secretariat, the Party Assembly, the most authorized body of the party, will determine the time for the Ordinary General Assembly, Savaşan continued as follows upon being asked about the “April 10” date for the General Secretariat elections:
“The date of April 10th has not come up yet. This date was discussed at the meeting of the MP group. The authority lies with the Party Assembly. The April 10 proposal will come before the Party Assembly as a proposal. My opinion, the opinion of our members and everyone who is devoted to the UBP is that the necessary preparations for the UBP General Assembly should be finalized as quickly as possible.”
